Good Things has joined Post Office Plus as a founding partner for a new pilot initiative designed to bring trusted, face-to-face support back to UK high streets.

At Good Things Foundation, our mission is to ensure everyone can participate in our digital society. We know that while more people are going online to navigate life’s big moments, many still experience ‘information overload’ or lack the confidence to take that first step. By joining Post Office Plus, we are bringing our expert digital inclusion support directly into the heart of communities, meeting people where they are in spaces they already know and trust.

Bringing support to the heart of the high street

Post Office Plus transforms selected Post Office branches into vibrant, multi-service community hubs. It’s an innovative response to a clear need: people want accessible, in-person guidance for life’s important moments—whether that’s mastering digital skills, staying safe online, or navigating everyday tasks.

Local partnerships: The lifeblood of our network

We know that digital inclusion is most effective when it is delivered locally. Our National Digital Inclusion Network is built on the expertise of community partners who understand the unique needs of their areas. This new concept is a natural extension of that mission. By combining the trusted high street presence of the Post Office with our network of local partner organisations, we are ensuring that support isn't just available, but is tailored to the specific needs of local residents.

We’re also proud to share that this initiative is sponsored by Amazon Web Services, whose support is helping us provide the friendly, face-to-face guidance that helps people build the confidence they need to participate fully in today’s digital world.

A word from our team

James Muscat-Sharp, Director of Business Development & Partnerships at Good Things Foundation, said:

“Digital technology is vital for accessing essential services, yet for many, the barriers to getting online remain significant. By bringing our expert digital inclusion support into the heart of Post Office branches, we are meeting people where they are within their own communities. Sponsored by Amazon Web Services, this partnership offers a unique opportunity to provide the friendly, face-to-face guidance that helps people build the confidence they need to participate fully in today’s digital world.”

We’re incredibly excited to see this concept grow. By turning post offices into community anchors, we are helping to drive local footfall, support local economies, and most importantly, ensure that no one is left behind as our world moves online.
