Can’t get online, can’t get by.

Our annual digital inclusion campaign, Get Online Week, has been held every year since 2007. In that time and in collaboration with the National Digital Inclusion Network, we have hosted thousands of free community events across the UK, helping millions of people learn new skills and confidently get online to do things like safely navigate the web or try out AI.

Digital exclusion isn’t always black and white, or a simple case of being online or offline. We know that in the UK today, 34 million adults are online with some barriers or vulnerabilities, and that only 1 in 3 adults are comfortably online

And when you can’t get online and don’t have the skills or confidence to navigate the online world, it’s impossible to get by in life.

From 19 to 25 October 2026, we’re asking you to take action and help us raise awareness of digital inclusion and advocate for everyone to be able to participate in our digital society.

See how you help make change happen

Let’s talk about the real cost of being offline.

When was the last time you booked a doctor’s appointment, paid a bill, or applied for a job without using the internet?

For millions of people across the UK, these everyday tasks are an impossible barrier. In fact, only 1 in 3 adults in the UK are comfortably online.

At Good Things, we want a society where digital transformation acts as a bridge to opportunity, not a barrier to essential services. But to get there, digital inclusion must be baked in, not bolted on. By that we mean built directly into national policy and local services from day one, not treated as an afterthought.

72% of UK adults think the government should be doing more to tackle digital exclusion. This campaign is your chance to question why more isn’t being done, and to share real stories with those who hold the power to make a difference.
