VMO2 partnership boosts Good Things' mission to fix the digital divide
Our collaboration strengthens efforts to fix the digital divide, ensuring that every person across the UK has the connectivity, devices, and skills needed to participate fully in a digital society.
Good Things welcomes the unveiling of Virgin Media O2’s new Responsible Business Plan, which renews its commitment to fix the digital divide across the UK. This new strategy sets an ambitious goal to support 500,000 low-income households with connectivity by 2030. This builds on the extraordinary achievements of the previous Better Connections Plan, which helped over one million people get online and provided 8.5 million people with digital skills training and online safety advice.
The success achieved in recent years highlights the power of partnership. Our collaborative work is focused on making sure every individual can fully participate in a digital society. Through our National Digital Inclusion Network, we have already reached 1.7 million people in the last three years.
A cornerstone of this work has been the establishment of the National Databank, created in partnership with Virgin Media O2. This crucial initiative has connected over 500,000 people by providing free O2 mobile data through our network of digital inclusion hubs across the country.
