Our 2026-2028 Strategy builds on supporting 1.7 million people to ensure digital inclusion is baked in, not bolted on to the UK’s future.

Good Things today launches its latest Impact Review alongside its evolved Strategy for 2026-2028. The Impact Review provides the powerful momentum and evidence base for a bold new vision to ensure digital inclusion is 'baked in, not bolted on' to how the UK works.

The review showcases the organisation's significant achievements over the last three years in tackling access, skills, and confidence barriers. Key impacts include reaching over 1.7 million people, growing the National Digital Inclusion Network to more than 8,000 partner organisations, and delivering crucial support through core programmes. This has resulted in over 400,000 free data connections through the National Databank, more than 28,000 devices distributed via the National Device Bank, and over 130,000 people supported with skills through platforms like Learn My Way.  In total, 92% of beneficiaries now report feeling happier, healthier, or better off as a result of the support.

One powerful example of this holistic approach is the story of Bran, whose life was transformed through community support. Bran was left with nothing after leaving a seven year marriage. Her turning point came through a network hub, BGfm community radio, which provided a digital lifeline: a laptop and data connectivity. Empowered by this support, Bran was able to enrol in distance learning, secure a job as a radio presenter at BGfm, and now hosts a drivetime slot dedicated to gardening and sustainability.

As Bran says, "My life has turned around."

Building on this proven track record, the evolved Strategy outlines a commitment to continuing this vital work, driving impact at scale, harnessing evidence and innovation through initiatives like the AI Gateway and Data Poverty Lab, and fixing the systems that hold people back. This ambition ensures the success of the past three years propels us forward to a society where everyone can thrive in a digital world.

The difference we're making

Over the last three years we've made one person digitally equal every minute.

Our 2026-2028 Strategy

We need to make sure that digital inclusion is baked in, not bolted on.
