All change for Good Things: Hello to a new CEO and a warm welcome to a new Patron!
We've got some absolutely fantastic news to share as we kick off an exciting new chapter here at Good Things Foundation.
First up: a huge welcome to Vicki Sellick MBE, who is now formally in post as our Chief Executive Officer! Vicki has hit the ground running, and we're so thrilled to have her leading the charge. If you haven't heard, Vicki is a brilliant, established leader in the charity world, with a long history of championing community empowerment and tackling big inequalities. Her background, which includes leading the charity arm of St John Ambulance and running major programmes at Nesta, is exactly what we need to bring fresh momentum and continuity to our mission. The energy she brings is palpable, and we can't wait to see where she takes us.
But while we're moving forward, we're also celebrating the amazing force that started it all.
We are incredibly proud to announce that our founder, Helen Milner OBE, has accepted the Board’s invitation to become a Patron of the Foundation when she formally steps down. Helen is, and always will be, the founding spirit behind everything we do, and this new role is a wonderful way to keep her vision and guidance connected to our future. It ensures her remarkable contribution will be celebrated for years to come.
Speaking on behalf of the Board of Trustees, Liz Williams shared the excitement:
"This is a significant and exciting new chapter for Good Things Foundation. Vicki brings exactly the passion, experience, and leadership needed to build on our considerable achievements. We are also personally delighted that Helen has accepted the role of Patron; she will always be the founding force behind our mission, and her enduring support will be invaluable as we move forward."
Vicki and Helen have worked closely over the transition period to make sure the handover is seamless and that our shared values remain at the heart of everything we do.
It truly is all change for Good Things, and we're ready for it. With Vicki at the helm and Helen supporting us as Patron, 2026 marks the beginning of a powerful and positive new era. Here’s to driving our mission forward with renewed energy and achieving even greater things together!
