Good Things Foundation, the UK’s leading digital inclusion charity, has appointed two new board members.

Good Things Foundation is delighted to announce the appointment of two new board members: Conor Rose and Dan Zinkin.

Their combined expertise in digital, data and business transformation is crucial as Good Foundation continues on its mission to ensure a fairer digital future for all.

Dan Zinkin has extensive experience in operations, business, finance and technology, having spent 25 years at JPMorgan Chase. For over a decade, he led large technology organisations supporting a variety of sectors, which enabled him to learn and then drive digital transformation across a wide range of business areas.

Dan was also a member of the UK Philanthropy Council, where he first came across Good Things Foundation as the sponsor of Power Up. He now works as Head of AI, Data and Analytics for wealth tech firm Investcloud.

Dan Zinkin said:

“Most key activities in our lives rely on digital skills and access, from online banking and finding a place to live to securing opportunities for employment and social connection. I’m thrilled to be joining Good Things Foundation’s Board of Trustees to help more people access the benefits of digital.”

Retail and data industry professional, Conor Rose’s experience across strategy, communications and programme delivery as well as driving improved digital and data people capabilities will be a valuable addition to the work of Good Things Foundation - the UK’s leading digital inclusion charity.

He has formed and scaled programmes that educated thousands to enable business transformation and innovation.

Conor Rose added:

“Good Things Foundation has enabled over 1 million people with digital inclusion support - but there are still many more millions of people and households in the UK unable to fully participate and benefit from much of today's digital society due to barriers of device or data access, affordability, skills or confidence. Good Things, with support of some fantastic partners, are leading the way to change this. You only need to hear from someone in receipt of this support or their network partners to understand its significance in transforming their life outcomes. I’m looking forward to working with the brilliant team and supporting the next phase of scaling Good Things impact in moving the dial on digital exclusion and fixing the digital divide - for good.”

Liz Williams,  Chair of the Board, commented:

"We are delighted to welcome Dan and Conor to the Board. Their expertise will help us expand as we continue to work on closing the digital divide. Together, their leadership and vision will bolster our efforts to ensure everyone in the UK has the opportunity to benefit from digital technology.”

In late 2024, Good Things’ Board of Trustees took on four new members: social change advocate Juliet Upton, and Thomas Beautyman, Deputy Director of Government Digital Services and two staff-elected trustees, Mary Booth, Digital Services Manager and Jo Reynolds, Research and Evaluation Manager.

The charity is a Staff-Led Mutual, meaning employees are given members voting rights for Staff Board Directors and at the Annual General Meeting.
