How we’ll ensure everyone can participate in our digital society
With the National Digital Inclusion Network and our strategic partners, we reach communities across all four nations. And we’re delivering real impact - we’ve reached 1.7 million people over the last three years. That's one person becoming digitally equal every sixty seconds because of our work.
But the dial isn’t moving fast enough. We can’t accept a future where people are left behind as technology forges ahead.
We need to make sure that digital inclusion is baked in, not bolted on.
One person made digitally equal every minute
Building on the last three years, we want to collaborate to change the lives of millions - creating digital inclusion at scale, harnessing evidence and innovation, and fixing the systems that hold people back.
In the next three years, we will
Deliver digital inclusion at scale with the National Digital Inclusion Network
We want more digital inclusion support resourced and offered at point of need through the National Digital Inclusion Network and beyond. We’ll work with local authorities, the NHS, corporates and charities to ensure digital inclusion is baked into service design and delivery, meeting people exactly where they are.
Strengthen evidence on what's needed to tackle digital exclusion
We'll go further. We'll put lived experience and community expertise at the heart of our work - joining with industry, civil society, and government to set research priorities and test new approaches. Together, we'll build the national evidence base needed to drive better decisions, faster action and lasting change.
Advocate and collaborate for fairer digital systems
We'll evolve our partnerships to be even more impactful. Drawing on our strengths in convening, campaigning and communities, we'll lead the collective effort to ensure digital and AI benefit everyone, everywhere.
Transforming lives like Lindsey's
As a single mother during the cost-of-living crisis, Lindsey found herself overwhelmed and unable to afford a computer. Relying mainly on paper, she was unable to keep up with her studies, leaving her feeling isolated and held back.
Her turning point came through vital support from a local hub in the National Digital Inclusion Network: Riverside Learning and Education Centre. By providing her with a laptop from the National Device Bank and access to the Learn My Way platform, the hub gave Lindsey the essential tools and digital skills she needed to succeed. Empowered by this lifeline, she completed her Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and secured full-time employment, transforming her family's future and proving the life-changing impact of digital inclusion.
