Money My Way is an easy-to-digest learning programme aiming to help the hardest to reach people to develop financial literacy skills to help them self-manage their finances.
Funded by Comic Relief, Good Things Foundation has worked with Citizens Advice and the Money Advice Service to produce digital content for disadvantaged consumers, all hosted on the Learn My Way platform. The programme topics covered are:
- Attitude to money
- Spending priorities
- Dealing with debt
- Unexpected events
- Money and work
Since the start of the project in 2015, more than 50,000 people have benefited improve financial literacy, thanks to the support of the Online Centres Network - including 15 funded Money My Way community partners.
8.8 million people in the UK are over-indebted, with 83% of those not seeking advice.
50,000 wider beneficiaries have been reached by Money My Way tools and learning.
3,000 of the most isolated people will be targeted for individual support during the lifetime of the programme.
