Money My Way is an easy-to-digest learning programme aiming to help the hardest to reach people to develop financial literacy skills to help them self-manage their finances.
Beginning back in July 2015, the financial management programme will run for three years. Funded by Comic Relief, Good Things Foundation have worked with Citizens Advice and the Money Advice Service to produce digital content for disadvantaged consumers. The programme topics covered are:
- Attitude to money
- Spending priorities
- Dealing with debt
- Unexpected events
- Money and work
Between 2015 and 2016, the Online Centres Network, including 15 funded Money My Way community partners, supported over 10,000 individuals and their families to manage their money independently.
8.8 million people in the UK are over-indebted, with 83% of those not seeking advice.
10,000 wider beneficiaries have been reached by Money My Way tools and learning.
22,000 of the most isolated people will be targeted for support during years 2 and 3 of the programme.
