#SeeItDifferently: Reducing Parental Conflict

Good Things Foundation partnered with relationship experts OnePlusOne to produce digital content that will help parents recognise conflict in their lives and learn new ways of managing conflict to produce healthier and more positive outcomes for everyone in the family.

Unemployment and other life stresses can put strain on families and lead to conflict

Whether parents are together or separated, negative relationships between them can lead to a negative impact on children’s mental health and long-term life chances.

Throughout the project we worked with 140 parents over 9 locations to co-design and test four videos, to make sure that it’s useful and relevant to people’s lives.

The test-and-learn project also looked at ways of reaching parents online to provide digital support in the right place and at the right time for them. Following Alpha and Beta test phases in 2019, the Live phase tested testing a wide range of content and engagement factors in 2020.
