Join Good Things Foundation as our new Social Inclusion Officer.

Good Things Foundation are incredibly ambitious about increasing our impact on social inclusion outcomes and I'm really delighted to announce that we are recruiting for a Social Inclusion Officer to join our growing Team.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about improving the lives of socially excluded people through digital and we value diversity and experience gained through all aspects of our lives.

We're seeking someone who has excellent project management and verbal and written communication skills, who is a self-starter and who also enjoys working in a fast paced friendly team. The role is varied and extends from business development to project delivery with a focus on working in partnership both internally and externally.

Good Things Foundation has always had a social inclusion impact but more recently we've recognised that there is much more we could do in partnership with others to ensure that everyone benefits from digital.

In the last six months, we've developed a new Social Inclusion Programme, continued to successfully deliver some large-scale programmes and have begun to test out new areas drawing on the insights shared by our network of 5,000+ Online Centres.

Our Social Inclusion Programme has three pillars:

  1. Connected and Active - enabling people to fully participate in their local communities
  2. Health and Wellbeing - supporting people to access the support and services they need and tackling the determinants of health and wellbeing
  3. Inclusive Prosperity - tackling poverty and financial inclusion and supporting people to progress in a way that is meaningful to them

Our established big flagship programmes like English My Way, (award winning) Reboot UK and NHS Widening Digital Participation showcase how we are working in partnership with organisations like Homeless Link, NHS Digital and Mind to seek to engage and support people who are the most socially and digitally excluded in our society to improve their lives through digital.

We are also pioneering new areas of work such as building financial digital capability, e.g. What Works Wellbeing Research. digitally enabled democracy and participation projects such as Voicebox Cafes and exploring how digital can help tackle loneliness.
