Get Online Week

The largest digital inclusion campaign in the UK and Australia.

Taking place in October each year, Get Online Week brings people together at thousands of events across the country, celebrating digital inclusion and helping people to learn new digital skills. Since 2018, Get Online Week has also taken place in Australia, delivered by the Good Things Foundation Australia team.

With 11.9 million people in the UK still lacking the basic digital skills they need to thrive in the modern world, and 9% of Australians never using the internet, Get Online Week is the most important date in the digital inclusion calendar. The 2020 campaign took place from 19-25 October and will return this year.

Why is this important?

7 million people are not online in the UK (Ofcom, 2020)

9 million people cannot get online independently in the UK (Lloyds CDI, 2020)

72% of event holders said the campaign helped them to reach new people
