Zoe Breen

Producer, BBC Bitesize; Manchester Girl Geeks

Zoe is a producer on the BBC Bitesize Post-16 team, developing resources for learners of Functional Skills English. She’s worked at the BBC for fifteen years and spent five years working on the EastEnders website before tackling mental health, disability and digital inclusion in her roles within BBC Learning. Outside of work Zoe can be found taking tea, cake and tech with Manchester Girl Geeks.

Zoe says: “Everyone deserves to have the skills to allow them to participate fully in society. I am dedicated to developing online resources that can be used directly by learners. Reading, writing, speaking and listening skills are essential for work and everyday activities, alongside maths and digital skills. Freely available, learner-focused online resources are key in empowering learners to own their digital learning journey.”

Roy recently returned from New Zealand where he held the post of Director of the Auckland War Memorial Museum.
